George has over 20 years surfing experience. He first visited Costa Rica in 1991 and after travelling much of the world has decided to call it his home from home.
Before making a fulltime living out of surfing, George spent three years in the Parachute regiment and a further 2 years in the Foreign Legion serving active duty in Chad. Other career paths have included professional Photography for both surfing and fashion.
George and his family have happily turned their lives into one endless summer spending half their year living in Santa Teresa and the other half over Europe.
George's involvement in Ticket to Ride Costa Rica gives us a fantastic local knowledge as well as unparalleled expertise and genuine enthusiasm for those lucky enough to be coached by him.

Sam runs the Ticket to Ride Surf Academy in Perranporth, West Cornwall. Since graduating from Plymouth University - the U.K's top surfing University, where he represented their prestigious surf team, he has spent his winter's traveling the globe.
Much as we would all love to claim it, Sam is probably the best travelled member of the Ticket to Ride team. He has prioritised a long travelling stint each year through and since University.
He was spotted by TTRide on the inaugural trip. Realising that he was too good to miss he was signed up as a Trip Leader for 2008 and proved himself to be a hugely popular and inspiring character; and has continued to mark his mark ever since.
Sam is a BSA Level 2 accredited coach, ISA Level 2 Judge, and comes with a wealth of coaching experience and has been surfing for over 18 years; he will always be the last person to leave the water after a good session.
