Hi All,
Action packed last couple of days. A quad bike safari to Montezuma was order of the day. We drove through the beautiful Cabo Blanco nature reserve to Montezuma. Here, we grabbed a bite to eat and hit up the waterfalls for an afternoons relaxation!!
We also went back to the local school to play a bit of football with the local kids. It was a lovely afternoon for everyone!
I hope all is well at home.
See you next time

Hello All,
Another week of fun in the sun here in Costa Rica!
We start the blog this time with a snorkeling trip to Isla Tortuga. We headed off early morning and speed out to the Island with a buzz in the air. We had 2 snorkeling sessions in the most beautiful water. There was a stunning variety of fish in the most epic array of colours. We had cold beers, soft drinks and a slap up fish lunch, and to top it all off we managed to catch a mother Humpback Whale and her baby on the way home! A truly breathtaking experience.
We have also been hitting the waves plenty this week. We had a small tag team competition in the lesson on Friday which got everyone pushing themselves for the title!! Fun waves, warm water and a quiet beach! What more could we ask for?
I hope all is well at home.

Hello all,
Just a quick one this time.
Our week has been filled as per usual with plenty of Yoga and Spanish lessons as well as a whole bunch of waves.
Linia (our Yoga teacher) is delighted at how well everyone has come on with their Yoga. She has been varying her lessons incorporating a mixture of balancing poses, stretching poses and meditation to give a rounded structure. On the same hand, Pia (our Spanish teacher) was also telling me how impressed she has been with everyones progression! It has become apparent in everyday life as well, and its great to see the group using their newly found language skills more and more.
During the surf lesson the other day, George and myself decided to give a safety brief. As everyone has become more competent in the water we thought it wise to let the group know how they could help out in an emergency situation. Coupled with another tag team race we had a great time down on the beach!
We are now sadly drawing into the last few days of the trip, so BUSY is the key word to remember here folks! We have got a great few days planned so check back after the weekend!!
All the best

And so it comes...time for the last blog!
We all had a great last week here in Santa Teresa. We had a really successful fishing trip, pulling in a whopping 14 Tuna and 2 Barracuda (and 1 tiny little sardine)! It was a great day out on the boat and left us with food for a week!
We had a slap up BBQ on Friday with our own fish and plenty of fresh salad (one of the abundances of food out here!) .
We also had the last of the surf lessons, spanish and yoga as well. Being heavily involved in the coaching over the last six weeks has really allowed me a sense of job satisfaction. Watching everyone progress throughout our time here has been really special. It is great fun for me to be involved in, and watch as everyone goes through their motions, learning at their own pace, and seeing the enjoyment as they get better.
Our last yoga session with Linia was a lot of fun also. She introduced Patha Yoga which is yoga in pairs. Everyone teamed up and had a good laugh whilst learning the new poses. I have to say that it is such a beautiful place to practice yoga here. The palm trees shading you from the sun whilst a cool breeze washes in from the ocean to keep you relaxed. We will surely be missing it!
Our last eveing we spent chilling on the beach. We took a few beers down and watched yet another breathtaking sunset, a sight which never grows old! When it got too dark to see we made ourselves a roaring fire on the beach and reflected on our time out here.
For me it has been a wonderful trip and I have loved every minute of it! It has been a pleasure spending time with everyone out here and helping them progress in surfing and learn a little more about traveling and a new country. I have enjoyed making these blogs immensely and I hope it has been as pleasureable for everyone at home!
So for me it is time to say goodbye but not before I thank everyone who has been involved in the trip from the vuys in the office making it all happen right through to the wonderful staff at our acomodation, and everyone in between!
Safe travels and I hope to see as many of you as possible down at our Surf Academy in Cornwall over the summer!
All the best
Sam
